As a seasoned Internet Marketer I have researched and studied just about every Network Marketing opportunity in existence today. In fact, I get “pitched” opportunities on a daily basis. And of the currently 4800+ opportunities in this industry, there are only two that I proudly associate my name with. Both are extremely different but oh so similar because of a common mission. “Building Wealth”. If you’re anything like me, that’s why we got involved in this industry. Right?

If you’re expecting a sales pitch about the latest and greatest, revolutionary and life changing,  juice, vitamin, lotion, potion, weight loss, antioxidant product ever created or the best legal, travel or discount shopping service around, you’re not going to get it here. That’s just not me. Home meetings, tasting parties, demonstrations, handing out product samples are of no interest to me, what-so-ever. I’ve been there, it wasn’t fun or profitable.

Anyone who’s been through my series on building an MLM Empire knows I will only make recommendations that are absolutely relevant and are of extreme high value. If it doesn’t make sense, I want nothing to do with it.

You’ve more than likely read my story and how I failed miserably at my first attempt in Network Marketing. I’m thankful for that time of struggle and failure because without it I wouldn’t of met my mentors who opened up my eyes and helped me get to where I am today. The financial education I gained from the above program was actually one of the reasons why I ventured back into the traditional MLM model and joined the following program. Why? Because it just makes way too much sense.

If you’re involved with a MLM company right now, chances are that you’re receiving a some sort of product or service on auto-ship each month. It’s either a health and wellness product, maybe a garment, cosmetic or a service like a phone plan, legal, travel etc..  Whether you like it or not, every month you’re paying a fee for something. Let’s be brutally honest here and face some cold hard truths about this industry. If your downline doesn’t get into profit or fall absolutely in love with their auto-ship within 90 days almost all of them WILL cancel their auto-ship. Sorry to be the one to break the news to you.

There is just ONE person on earth who is responsible for the death of more MLM businesses than any other (and he doesn’t even know it). Who is this sinister character you ask???…. The UPS man. This scene plays out all across the globe every single month. DING..DONG..as the rep you signed up a couple months ago gets up to answer the door he catches a glimpse of the UPS man getting back in his truck and says to himself..”crap, that time of month again? I still have last months auto-ship I haven’t even touched“. It starts to pile up in the closet and he soon comes to the conclusion that his auto-ship is just one more bill and he can do without it. The inevitable “I want to cancel my auto-ship” call soon follows only because the product (or service) has become a liability and has no real value. Yep I said it, NO REAL VALUE. Now before all the haters bombard my inbox with death threats, take a look at what one of the largest MLM companies around thinks about the value of their products.

Back in October 2009, Melaleuca had 12 trucks dump 15 tons of vitamins into a local landfill in Idaho to make room for a whole new batch of improved products because the old stuff was ineffective. They valued the products at 10.4 million dollars. Seriously? Who are they kidding? They had zero value, that’s why they dumped them. Who discards 10 million dollars worth of anything? I sure would hate to have a closet full of those landfill vitamins that cost me hundreds, if not thousands of dollars over the past few years. And don’t get me started on the countless magic juices that cost more than some fine wines.

Now don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love this industry and believe that there are some fantastic products out there. But when all is said and done, what is the real value of the stuff piling up in your closet? It has either been consumed, it’s expired or you’ve used it somehow. It’s worth zilch. This is why the MLM industry and your organization will always have such an outrageously low retention rate. Until today that is…..
